Standing Together in a Time of Crisis – COVID-19 Response
On March 13, 2020, Ethiopia confirmed its first case of COVID-19, prompting a nationwide emergency.
In response, Destiny Foundation partnered with Love Children and Mothers Organization (LCMO) to support families hit hardest by the crisis. That same month, we delivered food packages, essential COVID-19 prevention supplies, and monthly financial assistance to help mothers cover rent and other urgent needs.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to LCMO for the opportunity to serve vulnerable mothers and children during such a critical time.
We are also deeply grateful to our supporters in the Netherlands, whose generous donations made this emergency relief possible and brought real hope to many families.

Responding to Crisis with Compassion and Opportunity
Ethnic conflict has forced thousands of women and children to flee their homes, leaving behind their communities, livelihoods, and any sense of stability. Many now face hunger, displacement, and an uncertain future.
Destiny Foundation continues to stand with these vulnerable communities in Debre Berhane, offering daily support and promoting long-term self-reliance.
We’ve helped individuals build small businesses—teenagers now earn an income through shoe polishing, and mothers run coffee and snack stands. These small but impactful initiatives empower them to care for themselves and their families, even when daily survival is still a struggle.
So far, Destiny Foundation has visited and supported these communities twice, providing both emergency aid and tools for resilience.
Addis Abeba 2024
We extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for your generosity, which has allowed us to regularly support 13 families. To continue this important work and expand our reach to more families in need, we kindly ask for your ongoing support.
As promised, we are committed to keeping you informed about our activities and the people we serve.
Currently, Destiny Foundation requires €25 per month per family to cover their basic needs. One additional sponsor means we can help one more family.

Destiny Family Day – Addis Ababa
On January 4th, Destiny Foundation and Shalom Kelebet Congregation hosted Destiny Family Day at Shalom in Addis Ababa.
The event brought together leaders and deacons of Shalom Kelebet Congregation, Team Destiny Foundation Ethiopia, Destiny Foundation Netherlands, and the beneficiaries—elderly and bedridden individuals with no regular support or income.
The beneficiaries shared their personal stories, needs, and the impact the support has had on their lives. It was a meaningful time of connection and fellowship, shared over coffee and tea.
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” — Phi 2:4
We also visited families who were unable to attend the gathering, offering support in their homes. Going forward, the deacons of Shalom will continue these visits to ensure ongoing care and encouragement.
