Meet Mr. Hailemariam, a 70-year-old retired worker from an umbrella factory.He is married and has two children, and the family lives in a tiny four-by-four-meter room. Mr. Hailemariam suffers from polio, which has left him unable touse his legs. This illness, along with a very limited income and the addedchallenge of having a deaf daughter, has left him and his family in deeppoverty. His limited movement and inability to work have also taken a toll onhis mental health.
